HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - WBCNA is delighted to partner with Community Bank Partners & Rocket City Mom to offer a brand new entrepreneurial workshop targeted just for moms, called “The Mompreneur Event”. This unique half-day event kicks off at 8:30am, Thursday, September 8th and will be held at The Atrium at Redstone Federal Credit Union on Wynn Drive.
“A ‘Mompreneur’ is a multi-tasking mother who can balance both the stresses of running a home-based business as an entrepreneur, and the time-consuming duties of motherhood at the same time," according to BusinessDictionary.com. The 2016 Mompreneur Event will provide advice, support and inspiration for all the event attendees, whether they are active business owners or moms interested in taking a new leap into entrepreneurship.
The workshop starts with an Entrepreneurial Assessment session led by Hillary Dunham, Owner of Mint Julep Monogram. Hillary is also the recent winner of the “People’s Choice” Innovate Huntsville Entrepreneurial Award. This guided session will walk attendees through all of the necessary elements to consider when starting a new business, as well as providing new business insights for any current Mompreneurs.
Following the assessment, Michelle Stark, Morning Anchor & Technology Reporter for WHNT News 19, will moderate a panel discussion featuring successful mom entrepreneurs from all over the Tennessee Valley area, including:
• Stephenie Walker, Co-Owner of RocketCityMom.com
• Sarah Napier Bailey, Owner of Acorn Treasures
• Lacey Simpson, former Owner of Tiny Hearts in Madison
• Angela Howald, Owner of AcqCentric, a government contracting firm
The day will conclude with a luncheon featuring Keynote Speaker, Jeidi Pippins, Local Fitness Guru and Owner & Founder of SWEAT Fitness Huntsville.
