Donald Trump suggests he could “work with” illegal immigrants
Donald Trump is changing his tone just a little with regard to illegal immigrants.
On Wednesday, the GOP presidential candidate suggested he would be willing to “work with” people who are already in the United States illegally.
Trump did however, reiterate his pledge that there would be “no amnesty” for illegal immigrants in his administration.
As CBS News reports, the comments came during a taped town hall event with Fox News’ Sean Hannity.
The comments come after a surprise shift earlier in the week; Trump had suggested he was open to “softening” his stance on illegal immigration.
The shift now is a notable one, in particular because Trump has made hard-line immigration policy a key marker of his campaign.
