SCOTTSBORO, Ala. - Scottsboro head coach Patrick Nix can teach a lot of things but one thing he can't teach is experience.

"We've got a lot of guys that have played the game and understand the tempo and speed of the game which hopefully will be very beneficial for us."

This Wildcat football team has experience at key positions. Sophomore quarterback Bo Nix may look young on paper but he already has a year and half of experience under his belt. He says learning the speed of the game early is very important.

Nix isn't alone in the backfield. He'll be handing the ball off to another veteran guy, senior running back and Troy commit D.K. Billingsley.

"When in doubt I can just hand it to him," said Bo Nix. "Any play he can go the distance and score. It just helps me a lot casue we both have a ton of experience and we love playing together."

Billingsley says he wants to be a leader in his senior season.

"When everyone is feeling down, they can look on to me for leadership. I want to be someone to look to on Friday nights that's gonna get the job done."

Scottsboro kicks off the season at home against Fort Payne on August 26th.
