HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Want to get the latest news from the 2016 Republican National Convention, before it shows up on social media?

Considering downloading the RNC’s official 2016 app. It’s designed to give users inside access to the happenings in Cleveland, Ohio.

The convention begins July 18th and, as is typical, is expected to be a showcase of rising stars within the Republican Party. Donald Trump, known for his brash style and unpredictability, will be a big draw.

App users will be able to watch live-streams of speakers and video clips. They’ll also have access to a full schedule of events and 360* perspectives of the arena where the convention is being held – from the floor to the stage.

On Friday, Trump announced through Twitter he had selected Indiana politician Gov. Mike Pence to join him on the party ticket:

Party leaders have said they want the nomination process to be as open and transparent as possible.

The RNC 2016 app is free for download for both Apple and Android devices.
