Two arrested for attempted murder after fight at Motel 6 in Madison

MADISON, Ala.  – Two people have been arrested for attempted murder after a fight at a Motel 6 in Madison Sunday morning.

Madison police served two search warrants on May 24th on two homes where they say weapons were recovered. Police believe the weapons were used at the Motel 6 on May 22nd.

Madison police say 23-year-old Bernard Montrell Nash  and a 17-year-old boy have been arrested following a fight and shooting  May 22nd at approximately 3:30 a.m.  Two people came out of their rooms, a number of shots were fired at them and they were struck by a pellet shotgun.  One person was taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries while the other was treated at the scene.

Both have been charged with two counts of attempted murder and remain in the Madison County Jail each on a $60,000 bond.
