Defense dominates, young QBs shine in Alabama’s A-Day

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (al.com) - In a game dominated by the defenses, the White team defeated the Crimson team, 7-3, in Alabama's annual A-Day spring game.

White team quarterback Jalen Hurts led a spirited drive at the end of the game, connecting with receiver Derek Kief for a 5-yard touchdown for the win. Crimson quarterback Cooper Bateman, leading the first-team offense, ran an efficient two-minute drill but threw an interception in the endzone to Ronnie Harrison to seal the White team's victory.

White team running back Damien Harris was named the spring game MVP with 114 rushing yards.
