Have you been itching to get out into your garden now that we're into April? To help you get prepared, the Huntsville Botanical Garden Guild will host the 29th annual Spring Plant Sale from April 15th - 17th with a special member`s only sale on Thursday, April 14th, behind Grisham Pavilion at the Garden.

There will be a variety of plants, wildflowers, herbs, trees, shrubs, vegetables and native plants will provide the best selection for gardens throughout Huntsville and the Tennessee Valley.

There will be a demonstration tent that will feature container gardening for sun, shade, foliage and herbs. The Garden`s own expert Stacey Scannell will assist you with plant selection and provide you with the ideal recipe detailing exactly which and how many of each plant you need to build your own colorful container.

The Master Gardeners of North Alabama will conduct free pH tests for plant sale shoppers in the Master Gardener Tent during the Garden`s Spring Plant Sale. Those interested should bring a cup of 'dry' soil from each lawn or garden area to be tested and drop off the soil at the Master Gardener tent for testing before they shop. Test results can be picked up at the Master Gardener`s tent as shoppers leave the sale. In addition, no gardening question will go unanswered and all advice is free of charge. Tomato plants have long been a specialty of the Master Gardeners.

The Festival atmosphere will include food trucks, music, vendors, raffle and greeters to help guests find their needs. Times are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, and Noon - 5 p.m. Sunday.
