HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -   A gift for a gift was the theme at Friday's "stuff the truck" sponsored by the Mojo Radio Show and Christmas Charities Year Round.

"People will come in and bring ten items of clothing, hygiene or food, then they can exchange them for a voucher for Monster Jam this weekend," said Christmas Charities Year Round Executive Director Cassie Scott.

Scott says this time of year, the organization is in need of seasonal clothes.

"A lot of the kids we serve during the year, they don't have the shorts and t-shirts that they're able to wear to school these last couple of months," said Scott.

People also dropped off food and personal hygiene items. Scott hopes the community will realize the impact even a small donation can have.

"Families that we serve, they're sharing toothbrushes because they can't afford for every single person in their family to have a toothbrush. So we ask that you give, not just at Christmastime, but all year long," said Scott.

If you missed out on today's 'stuff the  truck' drive, you can still donate. Tomorrow is Christmas Charities Year Round 'First Saturday' day. They'll be accepting donations from 10 a.m.- Noon at their location at 2840 Jordan Lane.
