Sanders and his brother, Jacob went missing March 1 on Pickwick Lake. Jacob's body was recovered on Tuesday morning, March 15 in the Tennessee River near Pride Landing.
Earlier this month, when the brothers first disappeared, we spoke to some of their closest friends. "They were just so enjoyable to be around. I've never heard a bad thing said about any of them," says Michael Clements.
Jeremiah was a manager of a local restaurant in Florence. Jacob was the bass player for the Velcro Pygmies. "Our drummer Chris and myself, we joke we have to try to be rockstars, and Jacob was a rockstar. Had an amazing heart, and when Jacob gave a hug it was a real hug, it wasn't forced, it was the real deal," says Cameron Fleener, the lead vocalist for the band.
The Velcro Pygmies are doing a benefit concert on April 3, in Louisville, KY. All of the proceeds from the event will go to the family of Jeremiah and Jacob Sanders. Jacob was the bass player for the band. For more information on the event, go to The Velcro Pygmies Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/thevelcropygmies/?fref=ts
