Police searching for leads in case of stolen tractor truck

SCOTTSBORO, Ala. (WHNT) – The Scottsboro Police Department says it’s searching for who may have stolen a tractor truck from a gas station.

Authorities say the theft happened on February 2. Investigators believe someone broke a window to gain access to the 2000 Peterbilt tractor truck because of glass left at the scene.

The victim is offering a reward to anyone who can provide information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the thief or thieves.

Identifying marks on the truck includes text saying “HHT LLC Section AL”, truck number L3955, and USDOT number 2542183

Police say a light colored pickup truck or dually with clearance lights above the windshield and on the side view mirrors was seen in the area right before the truck was stolen.
