Decatur woman murdered, police seek husband in stabbing

DECATUR, Ala. – Police say a woman was stabbed to death this morning and they are looking for her husband in connection to the crime.

The incident happened Monday, December 28 just before 11 a.m. in the 2100 block of Montgomery Street in Southwest Decatur.  Police, Decatur Fire and Rescue and paramedics responded.  They found Yoliveth Gonzalez suffering from multiple stab wounds.  She was rushed to Decatur Morgan Hospital’s Parkway Campus where she died.

Police say Yoliveth’s husband, Alberto Gonzalez, stabbed his wife and left the scene. Police are currently looking for him.  If you know where he is, please call the Decatur Police Department at 256-341-4660 or Detective Burleson at 256-341-4633.
