Former President Jimmy Carter discusses his cancer diagnosis (August 20, 2015)

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. – The grandson of former President Jimmy Carter died over the weekend.  The Fayette County coroner is still investigating a cause of death for the 28-year-old.  The state medical examiner’s office is assisting in the investigation.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Sunday that President Carter told his church in Plains his grandson had reported not feeling well Saturday night and went to take a nap at his family’s home in Peachtree City.  His family found him dead soon after.

President Carter was diagnosed with cancer of the brain earlier this year and he’s been undergoing aggressive treatment.  His latest scan did not detect the disease.
