HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - We had a special treat at WHNT News 19 on Friday.  The 82nd Airborne All-American Chorus visited us to sing Christmas carols on our noon newscast.

We had a fun time visiting with them in the newsroom.  We played their performance back for them and it was humorous to watch them get a kick out of seeing themselves on TV. We shed a few tears as well, watching them sing!

The a cappella singers are musical ambassadors, bridging the gap between military and communities around the world, according to chorus team leader Traci Gregg.

The group will perform Saturday, Dec. 19 at Bridge Street at 1 p.m.   Check them out - they're very talented!

Gregg said the Rocket City has been very welcoming.  "We're receiving a lot of love in Huntsville," she said.  The group ate at Cracker Barrel on Friday and mentioned a good Samaritan picked up their check.  The soldiers were very grateful.

Thank you, soldiers, for your service!
