DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) – Decatur Police announced the arrest of seven people after the Organized Crime Unit conducted a narcotics investigation following complaints of heroin being distributed in the city. Police say during an undercover operation investigators identified numerous people as suppliers and users of heroin.

On Tuesday, officers executed a narcotics search warrant at an apartment on Cedar Lake Road. When police went inside, they say they immediately saw narcotics and drug paraphernalia throughout the entire apartment.

Police report there was a brief struggle with Richard Seale when officers went inside the apartment. He was eventually detained along with Shane Lepre, William Biggs and Evan Fraser, who were also inside the residence.

Authorities say during the search of the apartment two more people, Andrew Cunningham and Brandy Baker, arrived. Police say the two lived at the apartment. Officers say both were in possession of drug paraphernalia. Cunningham reportedly also had heroin.

Police say they also arrested Jacob Roan on Tuesday, December 15. He was found at his residence on Pennylane. Investigators say Roan’s arrest was a result of the same investigation.
