Landscaping crew notices house on fire in Meridianville, alerts family inside of danger

MERIDIANVILLE, Ala. – An alert landscaping crew spotted a house on fire Monday morning in Meridianville. They banged on the door to tell the family inside, waking up the five people so they could get out safely.

The home, in the 300 block of Spencer Lakes Drive, caught fire at approximately 7 a.m.  Several departments responded, including the Huntsville Fire Department as well as Hazel Green, Moores Mill and Toney Volunteer Fire Departments.

There’s no word yet on what caused the fire.

The neighborhood is off Monroe Road, west of Highway 431 North.
