Skating in the Park opens tomorrow!

Are you a fan of winter? What better way to celebrate your favorite season than to go ice skating in the park. Skating in the Park is back for its fourth year in downtown Huntsville's Big Spring Park, right behind the Huntsville Museum of Art.

The ice rink will officially open on Friday, November 20th at 4:00 p.m. It will run through January 4, 2016.

You can all your skating in daily and even on the holidays! Concessions and outdoor restrooms will also be available on site.

Rink Hours: 

  • Monday through Thursday 4:00-10:00 p.m.
  •  Friday 4:00 p.m. until midnight
  •  Saturday 10:00 a.m. until midnight
  • Sunday noon until 8:00 p.m.

There will be extended hours during the Thanksgiving holiday and during the area schools’ Christmas break. The rink will be open from 10:00am until 10:00 p.m. on November 23-26. Also, on Black Friday (Nov. 27) as well as Saturday, Nov. 28, the rink will be open from 10:00 a.m. until midnight. You can also spend Christmas and New Year’s Day out on the ice from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.

Admission: 

  • $10 per person ages 9 and up,
  • $5 for ages 8 and under
  • $8 per person for groups of 10 or more.

You can also rent skates for $3 and scooters for $5.
