HENAGAR, Ala. (WHNT) – One person is in custody as a result of an around-the-clock investigation by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office following a Henagar man’s shooting death.

Sheriff Jimmy Harris says they arrested Casey Adam Jones, 39, of Rosalie on Wednesday afternoon.

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office has been working with multiple agencies throughout the week to piece together exactly what happened in Henagar that left a man dead.  Deputies are searching Jones’ home today.  Their investigation took them out of state into Georgia, where they interviewed persons of interest.

Kenneth DeWayne Shaw’s body was found outside his home, just off Highway 40 on Weaver Road in Henagar Saturday night.  The 48-year-old had been shot to death.

Sheriff Harris said there could be more arrests.   He said his staff couldn’t have done this without the help of the Jackson County Sheriff’s office, because the effort has taken a lot of manpower.
