Good Samaritan helps connect money clip with Alabama fan who lost it at Bryant Denny Stadium on Saturday

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Thanks to the quick power of social media, an Alabama fan will soon have back some money he lost at Bryant Denny Stadium on Saturday.

Linda Boedecker Burns found a money clip containing “a significant dollar amount” on her way in the stadium.  She posted it to social media in hopes of finding the owner, covering the initials with tape in order to make sure the proper owner identified it correctly.

“I was going into the Alabama/LSU game @7pm CST this was found at the gate. There’s a significant dollar amount and initials on the the money clip. I know this is crazy but maybe the lucky person will have this back in their hands. If not claimed in a few weeks this money will be donated to a local charity.”

Social media users shared the post about the money clip more than 21,000 times. By mid-morning on Monday, Linda posted a great update:

WOW!!!  Can you believe out of 102,000 people WE have found the owner of the money clip and $$$!!!!! What a great ending to this story and he’s an ALABAMA FAN!! Roll Tide!!! Thank you to all who shared and spread this good news. GFB will have his money clip and a check in hand in few days:)))))))
