Athens man arrested, accused of stabbing man with scissors at his ex-wife’s in Limestone County

LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. – The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office has arrested an Athens man on assault charge. Jason Nichols Stewart, 36, is accused of using scissors to stab a man multiple times. The victim was at Stewart’s ex-wife’s house on Tillman Mill Road.

Investigators say Stewart went to his ex-wife’s home around 6:30 a.m. Sunday.  They believe he found the victim inside with his ex. That’s when a fight broke out, which resulted in the victim being stabbed multiple times in the face and back with a pair of scissors.

The victim has been released from the hospital after being airlifted for treatment.

Stewart is charged with Assault 1st and remains in the Limestone County Jail on $10,000 bond.
