LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. – Road crews with the Alabama Department of Transportation plan to replace the reflective markers on Interstate 565 in Limestone County. The work is set to begin Tuesday, and should conclude Friday.

The moving operation will begin on I-565 eastbound just west of Interstate 65 (Milepost 0) and proceed east to the Limestone County/Madison County line. Work will then switch to the westbound lanes and proceed west to I-65.

This work is dependent upon clear weather.

Work hours may vary, but generally will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and plan accordingly. Please use alternate routes if possible.

Crews may begin placing raised pavement markers on I-65 from the Tennessee River Bridge to the state line at Ardmore the following week if weather permits. That task is expected to take about four weeks.
