FLORENCE, Ala. – Autumn Wood, a young woman from the Shoals who is serving time for manslaughter, has been denied parole.

Wood is in Julia Tutwiler Prison for Women for the 2012 stabbing death of 14-year-old Brooklyn Hollins.  This was Wood’s first hearing before the Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles.

Lauderdale County prosecutors say it will be Wood’s last parole hearing, too.  She was sentenced to 126 months, but she’s expected to be released in April of 2017.
