Hazel Green, Ala. (WHNT) Three months ago Chazz Garrett was supposed to be the edge Sparkman needed to get back to prominence in class 7A. Now he's trying to fit into a new offense on a new team 15 miles away.
"It was really tough, but I can't really do anything about it. I just have to move on," Garrett said to Chase Horn earlier this week. "I still speak to everyone at Sparkman and hang out with them too."
No hard feelings on Garrett's end, and now he's just focused on helping Hazel Green win. Standing at 6' 5" tall, Garrett is a match-up nightmare for opposing teams and his new head coach is happy to have him. "On Friday nights he's made three of the best catches I've ever seen and I'm a former college wide receiver, says Will Wagnon. "We are really excited to have him here, not only his skills as a wide receiver but his attitude."
The choir is probably excited to have Chazz as well. The senior loves to sing in his free time and even gives us a taste of his skills in the video above.
Oh yeah, in case you're wondering. Sparkman plays at Hazel green on october 2nd.
