Alabama marine police and Franklin County dive team continue to use sonar to locate a missing man who disappeared around 3 AM in the Cummings creek on County Road 81.
FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and Alabama Marine Police spent the day searching for a man after his canoe capsized on Cummings Creek near County Road 81 on Sunday morning.
Franklin County Sheriff Shannon Oliver said the incident happened around 3:00 a.m. and his body never resurfaced. Authorities said Franklin County divers started trying to find him at daybreak.
Around 3 p.m. emergency crews found the victim. They identify him as Teddy Allan McAllister of Phil Campbell. He was 49 years old.
