UPDATE: Decatur shooting suspect turns himself in to authorities

UPDATE:  Decatur Police said Johnny Darryl Strong turned himself in to authorities on Friday after police said he shot someone in the leg three days before.

Officers said he will be transferred to the Morgan County Jail and held on a $25,000 bond.

DECATUR, Ala. – Decatur Police are searching for a shooting suspect they say is armed and dangerous Tuesday night.

Police said Tuesday, officers responded to a shooting on the 1000 block of 8th Ave SE. Officers there found the victim had been shot in the leg.

Police are searching for Johnny Darryl Strong Jr. in connection to the shooting. So far, they have been unable to locate him. They said he is considered to be armed and dangerous.

The victim was taken to the hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
