Madison, Ala. (WHNT) Image is everything these days in the NFL and teams are working harder than ever to protect the value of their draft picks. Alabama senior Reggie Ragland could be one of the top linebackers in this upcoming draft, but teams want to know what type of person they would be getting.

"I got one from the Oakland Raiders and the Kansas City Chiefs today," Bob Jones head Coach Kevin Rose told WHNT News 19's Chase Horn about letters he has been receiving in regards to Ragland's background.

"They are looking back on his character and work ethic in high school which is a great message for our kids. Don't think that what you do when you are 16-17 and 18 years old is unimportant, it's going to follow you for the rest of your life."

Nick Saban is always praising his linebacker's maturity, and surely he's saying similar things to any NFL interested in Ragland. That recommendation carries significant weight in the NFL, but teams are always looking for more. The Kansas City Chiefs will be getting a good report from Bob Jones High School.

Rose added, " In Reggie's case I'm able to get on there and say very positive things about him because he was a great role model when he was here."
