HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - It’s the purr-fect time to adopt a kitten here in the Rocket City! Huntsville Animal Services has dubbed this time of year ‘kitten season’ and as a result, they are overloaded with kittens in need of homes.
“One day we had like between 20 and 30 kittens turned into our shelter within an hour,” explained Huntsville Animal Services Supervisor Karen Buchan.
“A lot of them we go ahead and sterilize them, spay and neuter them right away.”
In order to move the kittens along they have slashed regular adoption fees from $50 to only $9.
Get it? For a one time fee of only $9, you can save a kitten and nine lives.
The fluff balls come home with you healthy. Each one is spayed and neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated.
The sale has been extended to include all age cats and will go through the end of August.
Animal Services asks that if you do come across a litter to please take them in as a foster. The center will take care of all health needs and work to get them adopted via social media.
