HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - The new school year is bringing new laptops and a new laptop distribution system to Huntsville City Schools students.

The laptops are Lenovo ThinkPads.

The new system involves parents picking up the devices at their child's school rather than a central warehouse.

Each school will set its own distribution day and time. The first schools will begin distribution early next week. Parents can check their school's website or call their school's office for specific information.

School staff and Lenovo personnel will be on hand to help with the pickup process. However, the computers will only be released to registered students.

Parents who have not yet registered their child with InfoSnap will not be able to take one home. Registration requires a snapcode. Parents who do not have one should call their child's school.
