HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT)- Straight to Ale has officially broken ground at their new Campus 805 location Thursday. Several city officials, brewery owners, and Huntsville citizens gathered to celebrate the ground breaking.

This new location is a big deal for the local brewery. The new location will be the largest brewery in Alabama. The founder of Straight to Ale, Dan Perry says, "We are going to be brewing up four times as much beer as we can currently do in the existing facility." With the extra room to brew more beer, they also plan to start distributing their beer all over the southeast region.

When I asked Dan to describe the opportunity in one word he said, "I would say massive is the word for us because we are buying the biggest equipment in the state of Alabama. We are going to have more capacity than any other brewery in the state of Alabama."

The plans for the new location also include a huge tap room, so the community can come and enjoy the hand crafted beer. Developers hope to finish the project by spring 2016.
