(WHNT) – The US Women’s National Team just won the World Cup. They beat Japan in the final, with a final score of 5-2. They originally went up 4-0 in the game.

They beat Germany in the semi-final with a final score of 2-0. Japan beat England 2-1 in their semi-final match to make it to the finals.

The USWNT lost to Japan in the finals of the last Women’s World Cup. This win marks the team’s first top finish since the 1999 World Cup that we hosted.
