ARAB, Ala. (WHNT) — A question over the sale of Confederate flags sparked a search for a bomb at an Arab Walmart.

Arab Police searched for a bomb in the Walmart on Thursday. The store was evacuated.

Assistant Chief Shane Washburn says a person called the store and asked to speak to a manager. The caller inquired about the sale of Confederate flags, and was told that store isn’t selling them anymore.

Assistant Chief Washburn says the caller then told the manager a bomb was hidden in the automotive section of the Walmart, and it was a trigger bomb.

Arab Police say they did not find a bomb in the store, and say investigators are working to determine who made the phone call.
