Huntsville Police released more information Tuesday about Anthony Brian Jeffery’s Madison County Grand Jury indictment on those charges. Police say there were “a number” of cases where Jeffery was acting as a general contractor. They say he was agreeing to work on victims’ homes, getting paid up-front, then failing to fulfill his obligations.

Police say Jeffery did not have a General Contractors License with the State of Alabama. And a home builders license is also required for work on a residential building that totals more than $10,000, but police say Jeffery didn’t have that either.

His charges include 9 counts of Theft by Deception, 8 of Home Repair Fraud, 7 of building without a Home Builders’ License, and 4 counts of exploiting the elderly.

He is free on $305,000 bond.
