Huntsville fire destroys sheds, spreads to house porch

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - Fire destroyed two sheds and a porch Thursday morning before crews could contain the flames.

A house attached to the porch was spared any damage.

Huntsville Fire & Rescue spokesperson Frank McKenzie tells WHNT News 19 the fire was called in at 4213 Hawthorne Ave. around 10:50 a.m.

A shed on fire there eventually caught another, nearby shed on fire. The flames then spread to a neighbor's porch.

Multiple crews responded.

There were no injuries and authorities are still working to contact the homeowners involved.

There's no word on a cause.
