MADISON COUNTY, Ala. – Crews rescued two lost boaters on the Flint River Monday night.

Officials on the scene told our crew that three people went for a boating trip on the Flint River. They said the trio went past the pullout point and tried to turn around. They entered a side channel as night fell and became lost.

One boater was able to walk away and find help. Rescue crews put boats in the water and pulled the other two out.

As of 9:30 p.m., all three were safe on land, just south of Hays Nature Preserve.
