Irons Distillery on its way to becoming the first business of its kind in Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Irons Distillery is going through all the steps to soon become Huntsville’s first whiskey distillery.

Owner Jeff Irons filed with the federal Tax & Trade Bureau for the company’s first bottle label.

The label, for bourbon mash whiskey, has been approved. It will be called “Irons One.”

According to AL.com, Irons Distillery plans to produce high-quality whiskey in oak barrels. Irons said in Oct., 2014 he hoped to distribute in Huntsville in early 2015.

The new business is set to open as part of the new expansion of Lowe Mill Arts & Entertainment.
