EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Man arrested after leading law enforcement on a two-state chase

MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) -- Two people are in custody after a police chase that crossed state lines.

The chase started in Huntsville at University Drive and the Boardwalk after a Madison County undercover drug agent attempted to make a drug stop. The Huntsville Police Department and Madison County Sheriff's Office deputies helped with the pursuit.

WHNT News 19 shot exclusive video of the chase. It traveled east on University Drive entering into Five Points, then spilled onto Interstate-565 westbound. From there, it went north on the Parkway. The driver then turned on Lincoln Road and headed into Tennessee, where Lincoln County Sheriff's Office deputies were waiting.

The driver then turned around and headed south on Highway 231, where authorities were ready with spike strips to stop the vehicle near the intersection of Charity Lane. The vehicle stopped just south of Joe Quick Road on Highway 231 in Hazel Green.

Officials say another passenger bailed during the chase and drugs were thrown from the vehicle. No injuries were reported.
