Car overturns into Madison County ditch, injures woman and baby

NEW MARKET, Ala. (WHNT)– Alabama State Troopers say a woman and an infant passenger were injured and taken to the hospital after a car wreck in New Market.

The baby is 8 months old.

It happened on  Old Mountain Fork Road in a ditch there around 5 PM Sunday.

Troopers say the Chevy sedan left the road and overturned, plunging into the ditch. A third passenger was also in the car, but was not injured.

New Market EMS, AL state troopers, HEMSI and the Madison County Sheriff’s Office responded. Troopers continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
