HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Storms are expected to push through the Tennessee Valley later today and tonight.  The entire valley is under a slight risk for severe thunderstorms.

Hail, damage and isolated tornadoes are all a possibility in this round of potentially severe weather.

Expect the storms to arrive in the Shoals late this afternoon and then move through Huntsville and Madison County through the early evening.

The storms will then head for Sand and Lookout Mountains closer to 9 p.m.-10 p.m.

There is about a seven-hour window from the time the storms move into the Shoals until they exit into Georgia.
