Spring Shred Day event May 2 in Decatur

(WHNT) – Have you been gathering your old personal documents, hard drives and electronics?  The Better Business Bureau’s Spring Shred Day event is coming soon.

The event will be held on Saturday, May 2 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at Calhoun Community College’s Decatur campus.

Come out to this free event and take advantage of document shredding, hard drive destruction, and electronics recycling. They ask that you bring no more than three bags or boxes of documents per person.  Cardboard and three-ring binders cannot be accepted.

BBB staff and representatives from partnering organizations will also be available to answer questions about preventing identity theft and provide resources for victims.

Shred Day sponsors include — Redstone Federal Credit Union, AARP, WHNT News 19, Secure Destruction, Document Destruction Services, Tech Stars, Partnership for a Drug Free Community, & WTKI.
