DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) -- Icy covered roads mean no school for many school kids in north Alabama again Friday.

Decatur City Schools Superintendent Ed Nichols had some fun announcing the closing to his school district. See it in the video above.

Nichols says since Governor Bentley issued a State of Emergency for several of the days where the schools were closed, he does not expect students will be forced to make up any of the days. He says they have a plan to make minor adjustments when they do get back to school in order to get "back on track academically."
