Car spins out, crashes into police officer on snowy highway

BLOOMFIELD, Mich.-- A frightening crash happened on a snow-covered highway in Michigan last weekend.

A Bloomfield Township police officer was helping another driver along Interstate 75 when another car lost control and crashed into them.

The officer was taken to a hospital for treatment, but officials say he is expected to make a full recovery.

Winter weather could create hazardous travel in the Tennessee Valley Friday. Huntsville officials are offering advice on what to do if you find yourself involved in a wreck or stranded during winter weather.
