TENNESSEE VALLEY (WHNT) – Snow fell over most of the metro area Wednesday morning, leading to problems on several roads during the drive to work.  Conditions have improved significantly through the day, though, as the sun helped melt away much of the snow and ice, and the wind helped, too.

There are still some icy spots on secondary roads, so please use caution wherever you drive today.  Many school systems are closed or delayed today, and others are announcing delays for Thursday because snow and ice still on the road is expected to refreeze this evening and overnight.
