HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - Emergency officials confirm one person was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after a fire on Jeannette Circle.

The home is right off Oakwood Avenue and just east of Jordan Lane.

Firefighters got to the scene just before 9:30 p.m. Friday.

Madison County Coroner Craig Whisenant confirmed Saturday that the man, whose name is not being released yet, passed away in the hospital as a result of his injuries.

This blaze is the third house fire in Huntsville this Friday. There was a fire on Kildare Street Friday afternoon. Just a few minutes before that fire there was a different fire at a home on Grantland Circle. No one was hurt in the afternoon fires.

Fire officials say they've responded to a total of 12 fires in 11 days.
