HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Some of the Rocket City spent New Year’s Eve at Big Spring Park for the “Terrame Rockets into 2015” event.

Terrame hosts the event each year, free of charge, for the city of Huntsville to give back to the community.

Organizers made some big changes to the celebration this year, doing away with the annual ball-drop to make way for rocket launches and a moon rise.

Hundreds of people gathered to celebrate the holiday.

There was music, dancing and even one proposal. She said, “Yes!”

Instead of a ball-drop, there was a rocket launch at midnight.

Followed by a huge fireworks display.
