MADISON, Ala. (WHNT) - A slew of heroes turned out to Target in Madison for a great cause on Saturday.

We're talking police, firefighters, soldiers, doctors, and on and on and on.

These heroes showed up just to do another good deed. They came to help underprivileged kids fulfill some holiday wishes.

Around 600 kids and their accompanying heroes filed off of buses over the course of the day.

Counselors at Madison County and Huntsville City Schools helped identify children who may need a little extra help this holiday season.

Businesses and donors sponsor them to help with holiday shopping for themselves and loved ones. Then the heroes stepped in to take the kids shopping.

They did the Target runs in a morning and afternoon shift.
