HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - The annual list of 'Christmas in Downtown Huntsville' activities was released Tuesday.  There's plenty to check out, too.

Downtown Huntsville, Inc. is teaming up with the Huntsville Museum of Art and the Von Braun Center for 2014 to deck the halls of the downtown square.

This year, like in past years, you can check out beautifully decorated Christmas trees on the Tinsel Trail, lace up your skates to go ice skating in the park, and whether you've been naughty or nice, you can visit Santa's Village. New this year is a light display that will transform the north side of the square into the North Pole.

"It will be snowflakes being projected, coming down the building.. it will be a winter wonderland," said Chad Emerson, CEO of Downtown Huntsville, Inc.

If you're interested in attending any of these events, you can stop by the Huntsville/Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau to grab a coupon sheet full of discounts for the events.

"It includes the Museum of Art for a skating discount, as well as the gift shop discount for Santa's Village and the Von Braun Center's Christmas Carol, Kris Kringle's Christmas Light Christmas as well as the U.S. Rocket Space Center," said Judy Rials with the CVB.

The office is located at 500 Church Street downtown.  The phone number is (256) 551-2230.  For more information, visit Huntsville.org.
