HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Kids who don’t call you back.
If you’re a mom or dad, you’ve probably experienced this problem. The question is, what should you do about it?
Parents in the Tennessee Valley have mixed feelings on this issue. Some think bold measures, like apps that can put a teen's phone on lockdown, are a good idea. Others think those go way too far.
That's why WHNT News 19 is Taking Action to help parents.
In a special report, we'll talk with parents like Annie Neidert, who knows exactly what it's like to have a child suddenly stop returning calls.
"When she hit her teenager years, nothing was any of my business any longer," said Neidert.
You'll also hear from experts in behavioral counseling and get some important tips for managing communication with teenagers.
"We're trying to give responsibility to teenagers but they may not fully understand how to balance that," said Stacy Ikard, a local doctor of counseling.
