Veterans Day Events Across the Tennessee Valley

(WHNT) - There are a variety of events taking place across the Tennessee Valley today to honor our veterans.

Huntsville will celebrate with its annual Veterans Day Parade.

There will also be parades, ceremonies and celebrations from Sand Mountain to the Shoals.

We'll start in Marshall County where the city of Arab will hold its annual Veterans Day celebration this afternoon.

It's held at what's known as Veterans Corner because of the monuments there honoring the military.

Veterans, their families and anyone else who'd like to attend are invited to come out at 2:00 p.m.

Both Guntersville and Albertville will also hold Veterans Day celebrations at 11:00 a.m.

The Guntersville ceremony will take place downtown in front of the Marshall County Courthouse.

In Albertville, people are asked to gather at Graham Park behind the library.

There will be parades in Colbert and DeKalb Counties.

The Colbert County Parade will start at 11:00 a.m. in downtown Tuscumbia.

In DeKalb County, the festivities will begin at 5:00 p.m. in downtown Fort Payne.

Athens State University in Limestone County will host a Veterans Day luncheon at 11:00 a.m. in the ballroom of the Sandridge Student Center.
