HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) —The Steve Harvey Show aired a special feature on Space Camp Friday at 4:00 p.m.

"If Steve can't come to Space Camp, we'll bring Space Camp to him," said Tim Hall, spokesperson for the U.S. Space & Rocket Center.

Space Camp set out on a special mission to film an episode of 'The Steve Harvey Show' in Chicago.

"Instead of just telling him about it or showing him a photo, we thought you need to experience it for yourself and it turned out to be an incredible show," Hall said.

On the episode, the staff from the U.S. Space and Rocket Center gave Harvey the total Space Camp experience, including strapping him into one of NASA's multi-access training simulators.

Robert Hammond is one of the employees who traveled from Huntsville to the show.

"As I strapped him in he gave me a huge grimace and said 'my life is in your hands..do it right or I'm comin' for ya.'"

Hammond says the opportunity was out of this world.

"To be on The Steve Harvey Show in front of millions and millions of people...it was absolutely astonishing," Hammond said.

The episode aired Friday at 4:00 p.m. on WHNT.
