HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT)-- Huntsville's Lowe Mill Arts and Entertainment complex is getting even bigger.
Crews are hard at work preparing the new second floor of the North Wing.
This will add 31 new studios, an additional gallery, and 37,000 new square feet of space.
That would increase the size of Lowe Mill by 1/3.
Also included is a meeting area to hold art classes and for artists to socialize.
We're told this is the biggest expansion Lowe Mill has undertaken, taking them to the next level.
Dustin Timbrook, Lowe Mill Arts and Entertainment Media Director, said: "We've also got some interesting new studios. Like Susie's Pops, you might have eaten their popsicles at Greene Street Market. We've got somebody coming in to do a brandy distillery, which is going to be interesting. We've got a fabrication lab with MindGear Labs and the Media Arts Institute."
The Grand Opening is set for December 13th. This will be a big event complete with an art show.
