HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - The Valley votes today and WHNT News 19 has some tips to make sure you're ready.

Remember to go to the correct polling location or call the Board of Registrars for your county to find out where you should go or check online through Alabamavotes.gov.

You must also bring a valid I.D. with you.  Plus, local officials want you to know that voting rules are different this year.

"The big change is that it has to have a photograph and it has to be a piece of government issued identification," said Frank Barger, Madison County Elections Administrator.

Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
